West Harrison is seeking to hire a first grade teacher to add to our tight-knit, family-oriented team. There are also coaching opportunities available, if desired. This position offers autonomy while still having a supportive and collaborative support system in place.  


West Harrison CSD is a family-oriented, inclusive, school located 30 miles North of Omaha, NE and 45 minutes south of Sioux City, IA.  It is nestled in the heart of the Loess Hills and is a destination for hikers, bikers, and outdoorsmen because of the beautiful setting.  


West Harrison Community School District is located in Western Iowa and serves the communities of Moorhead, Pisgah, Little Sioux, Mondamin, and Modale. These communities are within a 30-minute drive along Interstate 29 and the beautiful Loess Hills.  It is the best of both worlds; a rural school setting within 30 minutes of urban amenities.  Serving a PK-12 enrollment of approximately 320 students, West Harrison serves grades PK-12 in a modern and well-maintained facility in Mondamin.


West Harrison has an active and committed staff and community. West Harrison is focused on strong curriculum, is relationship-based, and driven.  All teachers PK-12 at West Harrison have access to modern equipment and technology.
