Job Description

Spirit Lake High School seeks an enthusiastic and innovative educator to teach High School Industrial Technology. Candidates must be committed to providing opportunities for students in both traditional and progressive industrial technology experiences, as well as engineering and architectural design experiences.  The current position leads learning in our welding academy, metals coursework, and robotics. However, the district desires to design the programming based on both the skills brought forth by the candidates and the most relevant experiences needed by our students in their future.  In addition to candidates collaborating with our school team to develop and deliver an engaging, relevant program, applicants are expected to develop partnerships with local business/ industries and Iowa Lakes Community College. The district values candidates who have traditional certification. We are also interested in candidates who have or will pursue alternative pathways to certification, including connection to and experience in industry-related fields.



The position will remain open until filled.  Coaching opportunities are also available.  


Spirit Lake School District, home of the Indians, has an enrollment of more than 1300 students.  Spirit Lake is located in the center of the Iowa Great Lakes, offering families a wide variety of community, recreation, employment and business opportunities.
